Wow! You waited outside, in today's weather, in Canada, for just those few seconds of pinkness!? I've said before that your luck in capturing these is made, not found, but this just underscores it. A lot of hard work goes into the scenes you capture, rather than just photographing anything that looks pretty. One reason why I wouldn't make a good photographer; I haven't the patience with a camera to spend the time required with one.
This one reminds me of "Peace." Is it shot in the same location, or is it because it's a similar time of day - dawn and dusk? The flat water reminded me of that shot, though the mountains definitely look different. Logically I think it can't be the same place, but emotionally, or subconsciously, I want to say that it is.
I like how you captured the jaggedness of the mountains and snow further out. It really shows why some cultures referred to mountains as the 'bones of the earth'.
thanks again for all your time. This wasn't taken at the same place as 'eace' but it has that same blueness of tone. This was dawn and the other dusk. It was a lot colder waiting here than for the other shot I can tell you!!! I did wait in the car for this one - it was bloody freezing!!!
